One paragraph on one quote. (went a little over board, giving a heads up)
So this might be a little off topic, just a tad bit. It been
in my head lately, you know how they say, children score low on test because
the school is poorly funded? I feel that, that’s half of the problem. The other
have is teachers, children and kids of all ages could learn a lot from their
teacher, even though their school isn’t in the higher end of the financial
scale. The teachers have to inspire their students. Light a spark in their head
that gives them curiosity to know and learn more. In my own experience, I have had a teacher who taught with 5
to 6 year old books, not that much supplies, over crowed classrooms. Yet, I
learned a lot. He was chill and he knew how to connect with us, the students.
Mr. Bartevian from Mt. Eden high
school, he was a way older gentlemen but he made his class chill and a fun to
be in. While I was reading through chapter two and came about Mrs. Hawkins, it
kind of reminded me of my old teacher. She was a teacher willing to anything to
help her students learn and keep them active. Even if it meant that it would
have to come out of her own pocket, she said
“All this stuff […] I bought
myself it never works to order things through the school system. I bought the
VCR, I bought the rocking chair, I got these books here for ten cents a piece
at a flea market. I bought that encyclopedia […] so that they can do their
research right here in this room” (60).
It
shows that it not only about the money but the teachers and how passionate they
are about teaching. They can make a student want to learn about anything if
they just find a while to catch the student’s attention. I’m not saying all teachers
aren’t passionate about teaching, they are but sometime we do encounter some
teacher who doesn’t have the motivation to driver their student, thus the
student feeling the none positive feeling has a less of a drive to move forward
to learn.
(Sorry
for writing a lot ha-ha, I just felt like I should get this off my mind)

Writing my first blog.
· On my blog I have stars in the background
because I like looking at stars at night. Honestly I sometimes just drive
around at night and open the sunroof, and enjoy the cool breeze.
· The name of my blog is “AmicusNatura” its Latin
for friend of nature I’ve always had a thing for plants. Plus, Latin words just
sound awesome.
· I find my mom and older sister the most
important thing to me. Oh and my gold fish haha.
· I’m really passionate about music I like looking
for new songs and artist on YouTube.
· I’m in school so I can find the right career for
me. I am currently thinking of becoming a RN (registered nurse) or a
chiropractor.
· I
hope that I will because a better writer and more proficient at writing long
papers.
· I like helping people and my family knows that. I
know they will push and help me to become anything I want.
